ECO-FRIENDLY EVENTS: CHOOSE A GREEN CERTIFIED VENUE IN ESTONIA
An increasing number of event organisers are seeking ways to reduce the ecological footprint of their events and make them more environmentally responsible. One of the simplest steps is to select a conference or event venue that has been green certified.
In Tallinn and other Estonian cities, several members of the Estonian Convention Bureau have earned this recognition by actively integrating eco-friendly practices into their daily operations.
Green Key, one of the world’s most widely recognised sustainability certification programmes for the tourism industry, originated in Denmark in 1994 and has grown into a leading international standard. Today, around 7,500 establishments across more than 80 countries participate in similar green certification schemes.
