The Estonian National Museum (Eesti Rahva Muuseum – ERM), located at Raadi in Tartu, is the largest museum in Estonia, as well as a multi-functional event centre. Opened in 2016, the Museum building offers an aesthetic space and intellectual environment along with state-of-the-art technical equipment for organising conferences, seminars, festivals, concerts, plays and large-scale events that require special solutions.

Internationally awarded architecture, high-tech installations, picturesque landscapes, culinary sensations at the Museum’s restaurant Pööripäev, large-scale exhibitions and various themed tours and workshops to complement the event — all within walking distance from Tartu city centre.

Conference Rooms

The Estonian National Museum has two larger halls: a 247-seat conference hall with cutting-edge equipment, which can also be set up as a concert and cinema hall, and a black box theatre with versatile facilities that can accommodate 160 guests. The large halls are complemented by seminar rooms seating 30 to 50 people, allowing the conference to be divided into group work or parallel sessions. The spaces used for events are located at both ends of the building outside the exhibition area.

The spacious and bright bridge area connects the Museum’s Conference Centre and exhibitions and is well suited for organising larger cultural events, receptions and parties. In addition, it is possible to organise outdoor events in the outside area of the Museum, both under the roof in front of the A-entrance of the Museum and in the wine kitchen equipped with a glass shelter.

Technical Support

The Museum’s Conference Centre offers full service and, together with the client, finds the best solutions for the overall success of the event. Thanks to its state-of-the-art technical facilities, the Estonian National Museum is a great venue for hybrid events, where both guests and performers can participate on-site or via live streaming.

All events taking place at the Museum are serviced by a professional technical team who, if necessary, will come up with special solutions according to the nature and size of the event. The work of the technical team is priced separately.

Catering for events taking place at the Estonian National Museum is exclusively provided by the museum’s restaurant Pööripäev. It is possible to order refreshment tables, coffee breaks and lunch, as well as gala dinners with full service.

Green Museum

The Estonian National Museum gained the Green Museum Certificate in 2023. The aim of implementing the Green Museum principles is to incorporate environmental consciousness into all areas of the museum’s activities and to raise awareness of the museum’s social responsibility.

To encourage green and responsible behaviour, the Estonian National Museum has developed guidelines for organising both indoor and outdoor events at the Museum. We offer our customers sustainable choices and organise our work with the least possible environmental impact.
