ECO-FRIENDLY EVENTS: CHOOSE A GREEN CERTIFIED VENUE IN ESTONIA

When hosting an event, let’s make it eco-friendly!

Tallinn offers a wide range of green-certified venues and hotels that are fully committed to sustainability. From environmentally certified spaces to venues powered by renewable energy, our carefully curated list proves that you can organise outstanding business events and conferences while significantly reducing your carbon footprint.

Tallinn Creative Hub

kultuurikatel 2

Housed in a fully restored early 20th-century power plant, Tallinn Creative Hub (Kultuurikatel) is one of the city’s most distinctive venues for large-scale events. Opened in 2015, the building retains its original industrial character—bricks, boilers, and all—offering a unique blend of heritage and modern functionality.

The venue’s name, which translates to “Culture Cauldron,” pays tribute to its past and to the former boiler room, now transformed into the impressive Cauldron Hall. This 700 m² space features soaring ceilings and original steam boilers, making it ideal for seminars, exhibitions, concerts, and gala events. The adjacent Black Box provides an additional 504 m² of flexible space, accommodating over 600 seated guests. In total, the Creative Hub offers 17 meeting and event spaces, all within walking distance of central hotels and attractions.

Tallinn Creative Hub has been awarded the Green Key eco-label for its strong commitment to sustainability. From waste reduction to resource efficiency, the venue actively minimises its environmental impact. Housed in a repurposed industrial building, the Hub is itself a model of sustainable reuse. The venue also provides guidelines to help organisers reduce the ecological footprint of their events and encourages collaboration with local communities and appreciation of Estonian cultural heritage. In addition, nine cinema rooms of varying sizes are available to serve as fully functional breakout rooms. Located just a short walk from top hotels and the stunning Old Town.

Port of Tallinn Cruise Terminal

A new, ultramodern, and multifunctional Cruise Terminal can be used to host various events, such as conferences, receptions and galas. The main hall of 1724 m² opens entirely to the sea from one side offering wonderful views of the waterfront and cruise ships and can be divided into three smaller rooms. The terminal also features an 850 m rooftop seaside promenade.

The Cruise Terminal proudly holds the Green Key eco-label, confirming its commitment to environmentally sustainable operations. The terminal generates solar power, uses green electricity when needed, and relies on marine energy for heating and cooling. Energy-efficient systems, LED lighting, and water-saving fixtures further reduce its footprint. Events at the terminal follow circular economy principles—from catering to décor—and partners are encouraged to align with Green Key standards.
