Tallinn Cruise Season 2026

Tallinn is once again proving its popularity as a cruise destination, with the city set to welcome 145 cruise ship calls this year. Two vessels have already visited in March and April, while the main cruise season officially began on 1 May.

The figures show a clear recovery and growing interest in Tallinn as a Baltic cruise destination. Last year, Tallinn welcomed 115 cruise calls, while before the COVID-19 pandemic the number reached 334 annually.

This season is notable not only for the number of arrivals, but also for the increasing number of longer stays. Cruise ships are scheduled to stay overnight in Tallinn on 17 occasions, including four visits lasting two nights. Extended stays give visitors more time to explore the city beyond a quick daytime visit — from enjoying Tallinn’s long summer evenings to discovering neighbourhoods outside the Old Town and city centre.

The busiest cruise days of the season are expected to be 12 and 27 August, when four cruise ships will arrive simultaneously, bringing approximately 4,000–5,000 passengers to the city each day. The highest number of cruise visitors is forecast for 19 May and 19 July, when more than 6,000 passengers are expected in Tallinn.

As Tallinn remains a highly attractive destination for cruise travellers, we are also highlighting the busiest cruise dates to help tourism businesses and visitors better understand when the city will see the largest influx of cruise tourists.

The full cruise schedule, including ship arrival and departure times, is available on the Port of Tallinn website.
