Tallinn supports 9 international conferences with over €166,000
The second round of Tallinn’s international conference support will allocate a total of €166,154 to the organisation of nine conferences.
The aim of the conference support is to attract more international conferences to the city, increase their economic impact, and keep Tallinn competitive with other capitals in the region.
The maximum support per conference is up to €35,000 — the highest support rate in the region compared with neighbouring capitals.
The following conferences received support in the second round:
- Publicon OÜ — IEEE PEMC 2026
- International Centre for Defence and Security — Tallinn Digital Summit 2026
- Estonian Centre of Architecture — the international conference of the Tallinn Architecture Biennale
- Koosloome Koda NGO — Global Blue Economy Conference 2027 “Living Innovations: Vision and Practice”
- RobotHai OÜ — MängudeÖÖ Conference 2026
- Estonian Society of Health Informatics — Medical Informatics Europe (MIE) 2027
- BSides Tallinn NGO — BSides Tallinn 2026 information security conference
- Äripäev AS — Business Arena Baltics 2027
- Estonian Academy of Arts — Conference of Accessory Design in Higher Education: Tradition, Research and Future Practice
This year the terms of the conference support were updated to make applying more flexible and competitive. Support can be applied for by legal entities — including universities, professional associations, companies and other conference organisers — that bring conferences with international participation to Tallinn. The support period was extended from seven to eight months to encourage conferences outside the peak season and reduce seasonality, and the eligible timeframe for holding a conference was extended to 18 months from the date of application, giving organisers greater planning freedom. The minimum requirements for foreign delegates were also harmonised and reduced so that more events can qualify.
