Tallinn Conference Ambassador Club Visited Tallinn Creative Hub and Novotel
The Tallinn Conference Ambassador Club gathered at a true hidden gem in Tallinn Creative Hub – the Õuetorn courtyard space. This unique two-level venue, tucked away in the inner courtyard, offers an inspiring setting for up to 80 guests and proved to be the perfect backdrop for sharing ideas and experiences.
The highlight of the evening was the panel discussion “Conference organising is not rocket science” Kristin Lillemäe (Publicon) and Heli Kuik (Konverentsimeistrid / Conference Masters) shared practical insights from the field. A clear message stood out: successful conferences are built on strong marketing, a clear value proposition, and active community engagement.
Budget-wise, the focus should be on what truly matters – participant experience, seamless technical execution, and effective communication – while less essential elements can be optimised. Current trends confirm that people still prefer to attend events in person, but they increasingly value networking, interaction, and a meaningful overall experience. As perfectly said during the discussion: people don’t come for slides – they come for people.
In the second half of the visit, we explored the newly opened Novotel Tallinn hotel, which brings a fresh, smart, and contemporary approach to Tallinn’s hospitality landscape. The hotel features 132 rooms, including 40 apartments, as well as flexible spaces suitable for meetings and events of various sizes.
The Tallinn Conference Ambassador Club welcomes professionals who are interested in bringing international conferences to Estonia or are already involved in organising them locally. For more information, please contact Külli Teimann (kylli.teimann@ecb.ee).
