Accor brings Mövenpick and ibis Styles brands to Estonia

Accor continues to strengthen its portfolio in the Baltic countries. In a recent development, the world-leading hotel group has entered into an agreement to introduce new renowned hotel brands to Estonia. Two properties in Tallinn, managed by Duco OÜ, will become part of the global Accor network, as the first hotels in the country to operate under the Mövenpick and ibis Styles brands.

After announcing the first Handwritten Collection property in Tallinn and in Eastern Europe, scheduled to open this June, Accor does not slow down the expansion in the Baltic countries. Effective June 1, 2023, two hotels located in the capital of Estonia, previously known as L’Embitu and L’Ermitage will be taken over from Igor Jakobson by local entrepreneurs Madis Mägi and Janno Parik. From this point on, the properties will be operated by Duco OÜ company and soon join the Accor network to welcome guests under world-renowned brands as Mövenpick Tallinn and ibis Styles Tallinn.

The former L’Embitu hotel will begin its operations as Mövenpick Tallinn in October 2023 and offer 125 modern and premium quality rooms to its guests. It will be the first property in the country operating under Mövenpick, an Accor premium brand focused on the appreciation of life’s essential pleasures by providing visitors with moments of pure bliss. With more than 110 hotels and resorts around the world and another 50 planned by 2025, Mövenpick continues to grow its global footprint while remaining true to its Swiss heritage. In recognition of the brand’s holistic approach to sustainability and its deep commitment to local environments and communities, Green Globe has named Mövenpick the world’s most sustainable hotel company every year since 2017.

The 122-room L’Ermitage will keep its name, and after renovation in the spring of 2025, the hotel will reopen as ibis Styles Tallinn, offering its guests the first opportunity to experience this creative brand in Estonia. Currently, Accor boasts more than 560 ibis Styles hotels across more than 45 countries.
