Magical Walking Tour from Rotermann Quarter to Tallinn Old Town
- The tour begins just behind the Nordic Forum Hotel, in the Rotermanni Quarter — a vibrant area that masterfully combines industrial heritage with sleek, modern architecture, offering a glimpse of Tallinn’s forward-looking spirit. Here, old factories have been thoughtfully rejuvenated to stand side by side with striking contemporary buildings, creating an atmosphere that’s both creative and distinctly Tallinn.
- From there, the walk continues into the heart of Tallinn’s UNESCO-listed Old Town — one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval gems. Cobbled streets, Gothic spires, merchant houses, and charming courtyards await as the group explores the city’s main sights and uncovers the legends that have shaped this enchanting place through the centuries.

During the tour, participants will also enjoy a hands-on Marzipan Painting Workshop at Maiasmokk Café, the oldest café in Tallinn. According to legend, marzipan was invented right here in the city. Once considered a medicine and sold by the nearby Town Hall Pharmacy — Europe’s oldest continuously operating pharmacy, first mentioned in 1422 — marzipan has deep roots in Tallinn’s history. The tour concludes with a visit to the Tallinn Christmas Market on Town Hall Square — a true fairy-tale setting.
19:00 Medieval Dinner Experience Step back in time for a true medieval feast at Olde Hansa, located in the heart of Tallinn’s Old Town. This renowned restaurant recreates the home of a wealthy Hanseatic merchant, where guests are treated to authentic 15th-century recipes, hearty wild game dishes, and traditional drinks. The candlelit halls, period music, and warm hospitality make for an unforgettable dining experience that captures the spirit of medieval Tallinn.
