A true summer isn’t quite complete if you can’t pair your cocktail with some equally intoxicating views of the city. To all those in Tallinn this summer, pair a cocktail with a panoramic view at one of Tallinn’s highest rooftop terraces, or enjoy a salad in a fabulous secret garden in Tallinn’s Old Town. Here’s our choice of the best outdoor terraces in Tallinn this summer, most of which can be rented out for private events:

  • Radisson Collection Hotel Terrace

On the 24th floor of the Radisson Collection Hotel, you will find the highest rooftop terrace in Tallinn. You can enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the city, the medieval Old Town, and the surrounding sea on the summer terrace of ISSEI Restaurant & Bar.

Neat signature cocktails and appetizing snacks are brought to you by ISSEI – a restaurant serving Nikkei cuisine, which is a combination of Japanese and Peruvian culinary expertise and the only Nikkei style restaurant in the Baltics so far!

  • Hilton Tallinn Park Terrace

Centrally located luxurious Hilton Tallinn Park has a fabulous outdoor terrace with a beautiful green view to Politsei Park, the modern structures of Tallinn and the medieval Old Town. Executive Chef of The Able Butcher restaurant Fabrizio Righetti offers the opportunity to experience summer through flavours, with a special terrace menu of mouth-watering salad and seafood selections to enjoy with cooling cocktails. You are welcome to join their special ‘after-work’ events held every Thursday throughout the summer. The terrace can be rented out privately for memorable events such as receptions with business partners or other celebrations.

The legendary Original Sokos Hotel Viru has the perfect location just near Tallinn’s medieval Old Town and offers breathtaking views of Tallinn Bay. The rooftop bar is located on the 23rd floor and is a true experience which also surprises with its drinks menu that includes original cocktails from the hotel’s opening year of 1972.

  • Fotografiska Tallinn Terrace

Fotografiska Tallinn, a satellite gallery of Stockholm’s renowned Fotografiska photography museum, is a crossroads of world-class art, food and entertainment. The gallery sits in the heart of the popular Telliskivi Creative City, a historic factory area that’s been reborn as an offbeat shopping and dining hotspot and the go-to destination for culturally oriented Tallinners.

Enjoy zero waste meals and cocktails over a panoramic view on the sunny summer terrace at Fotografiska restaurant! This cozy terrace set up is a great place to spend a summer evening for its great food and stunning views. Fotografiska was also just awarded a Michelin Green Star award. Extend the fun by ordering drinks from the cocktail bar after dinner – both the food and drinks menus have been designed with sustainability and zero waste in mind.

  • Telegraaf Hotel Terrace

Just around the corner from Tallinn Old Town’s Town Hall square you will find a hidden oasis known as Telegraaf Hotel. Telegraaf Hotel’s  summer terrace is a hidden oasis within the city, like a secret garden waiting to be discovered. Surrounded by medieval walls and luscious greenery, the spacious terrace serves both lunch and dinner, weather permitting. Fat Margaret is located in the UNESCO heritage Old Town of Tallinn and also listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. This 500-year-old altillery tower has a colourful history and is part of the Estonian Maritime Museum. It’s arguably one of the top sights in the city.
