Vihula Manor Named Europe’s “Countryside Luxury Retreat of the Year” at the European Hotel Awards in Vilnius

The 4-star Superior Vihula Manor Country Club & SPA has been awarded the prestigious title of “Countryside Luxury Retreat of the Year” at the European Hotel Awards gala. The award highlights the manor’s exceptional hospitality, outstanding service, authentic character, natural surroundings, and a refined guest experience.

“It is a tremendous honor to accept this recognition on behalf of the entire Vihula Manor team. The title reflects our daily dedication to delivering an exceptional guest experience. We look forward to welcoming more guests to experience the magic of Vihula Manor” said the General Manager, Christoph Puschmann.

Located just an hour’s drive from Tallinn, in the heart of Lahemaa National Park, Vihula Manor is one of Estonia’s most enchanting heritage properties. The elegant estate, originally built in the 13th century, has previously earned the title of “Best Historic Hotel in Europe 2020” and is the first and largest full-service 4-star Superior manor resort in the Baltic region.

At the heart of Vihula Manor’s success lies the dedication of its owner, Hans Henrik Kjoelby. Based on his clear vision, the manor complex has been given new life: every restored building and carefully preserved architectural detail reflects the ambition to showcase the beauty of history while creating a contemporary sense of luxury.

Today, the beautifully restored manor complex offers accommodation in 80 unique guest rooms, relaxation in 700m2 swimming pool & sauna center, and treatments at its luxurious Eco-Spa. The estate also features several restaurants, 12 event rooms and a wide range of all-year leisure activities.

The European Hotel Awards is a respected international recognition program that highlights the best in the hospitality industry. Candidates are evaluated by a distinguished selection committee composed of hospitality experts. With no application or nomination fee, the EHA maintains a strong reputation for impartiality and merit-based selection.

This year’s gala presented awards in 26 categories, acknowledging excellence across the entire hospitality sector.

Vihula Manor is part of the Unique Hotels group, which also includes four other properties: the historic city manor von Stackelberg Hotel, the family-friendly Kreutzwald Hotel, the modern business hotel Centennial Nexus Hotel, and the affordable City Hotel Tallinn.
