This week, the largest business festival in the Baltic States, sTARTUp day 2022, takes place in Tartu. The sixth annual business festival brings to Tartu a record number of international speakers, the largest demo area in the festival’s history and an unprecedentedly extensive seminar program. More than 3,500 participants from Estonia and abroad are expected this year.

This year, the focus of the festival is innovation and entrepreneurial thinking, which top entrepreneurs and experts from different fields will work on on two stages. On the first main day of the festival, new technologies in the fields of energy, transport, food, (space) aviation and smart city solutions will be discussed. The second day of the festival focuses on entrepreneurial skills and inspirational stories.

The meaningful festival program offers activities for all those interested in entrepreneurship. On the day of pre-events of the festival on August 24, several dozen different side events are planned, including a separate program for managers, which focuses on the green turn, logistics and changes in the metal industry. At the sTARTUp Pitching competition, the region’s 40 best start-ups compete for a prize fund of over 350,000 euros. More than 80 organizations will present innovative solutions in the demo area of ​​the festival. In addition, the festival has a separate youth area for 10-19-year-olds with an exciting age-appropriate program.
