Tartu Conference Ambassadors Gather at the New Elutuba Lava Taga Venue
At the end of November, the Estonian Convention Bureau, together with Visit Tartu, brought local conference ambassadors together for a lively and inspiring Ambassador Club event. This time, the gathering took place in the atmospheric Elutuba Lava Taga experience space.
Panel: “Conference Organising Is Not Rocket Science”
The event opened with a thought-provoking panel discussion titled “Conference organising is not rocket science – tips from professional organisers for a smooth and worry-free event.” The conversation explored the latest trends, smart practical solutions, and ways to select the right organising partner. Experts also shared strategies for working with limited budgets and mitigating risks in a rapidly changing world.
Experienced conference organisers Liis Käosaar and Kristin Lillemäe (Publicon OÜ) and Heli Kuik (Konverentsimeistrid OÜ) shared valuable insights from the field. The session was moderated by Kadri Karu, Managing Director of the Estonian Convention Bureau.
Hands-On Workshops at SÕÕR Circular Economy Lab
In the second half of the afternoon, participants could unleash their creativity in workshops run by SÕÕR, the on-site circular economy test lab. Ambassadors had the chance to try plant printing, propagate “plant babies,” and discover the possibilities of clay-based 3D prototyping.
A New Home for Elutuba Lava Taga
From November 2025 onward, Elutuba Lava Taga will welcome guests at its new Tartu address: Kastani 50. The venue also hosts Royal Catering and Nüanss Bar, adding to the building’s vibrant atmosphere. SÕÕR’s test lab continues to operate in the same space.
