Estonia Opens €400,000 Grant Programme for International Conferences

Enterprise Estonia (EIS) has opened the application round for its International Conference Grant, effective from 5 January until 9 February. The total budget allocated for conferences taking place in 2026 is €400,000.

The grant is available for scientific, professional and special-interest international conferences that include presentations and discussions, as well as international meetings of representatives of countries, organisations or public authorities. To be eligible for support, the conference programme must last at least two consecutive days.

Minimum participation requirements apply:

  • Tallinn: at least 200 international delegates

  • Elsewhere in Estonia: at least 100 international delegates

Different thresholds are intentionally set to encourage the hosting of international conferences outside the capital.

In addition, conferences must be marketed in at least two foreign markets and include information about Estonia’s tourism opportunities as part of their communications.

The application round remains open until 9 February. Applications must be submitted at least four months before the conference takes place, allowing sufficient time for preparation and international marketing. This means the earliest eligible events are those scheduled from May 2026 onwards, requiring applications to be submitted at the very start of the current round.

Priority is given to conferences planned for the second half of 2026 and throughout 2027, providing organisers with greater certainty when planning their budgets and funding.

Further details and application guidelines are available on the Enterprise Estonia website
