Tallinn Airport joins Estonian Convention Bureau

The Estonian Convention Bureau gained a new member at the start of this year with the addition of Tallinn Airport, the Best European Airport 2018, AKA ‘the world’s cosiest airport’.

Joining the ranks of the nation’s conference industry group gives Tallinn Airport an opportunity to highlight its value not only as a transport hub, but as a high-quality meeting destination in its own right. Specifically, the airport features meeting/event rooms offering spectacular views of its taxiways and runway, and, of course, unmatchable convenience for delegates travelling by air.

The largest of the rooms, the Zeppelin presentation room, can accommodate receptions of up to 40 people and is well suited for press conferences, lectures, training sessions and the like. The more intimate Forest presentation room (90m2, 36 seats theatre style) and Park presentation room (67m2, 25 seats theatre style) are part of a stylish VIP complex built for Estonia’s 2017 European Council presidency.

The smartly decorated conference facilities match well with Tallinn Airport’s overall contemporary boutique feel, which was created in recent years through an extensive conceptual makeover. The changes brought some innovative amenities like a lending library, free sleep pods, table tennis, massage chairs and a pop-up gym. These, along with the homey furnishings and top-rated Wi-Fi, have helped establish the airport’s reputation as one of the world’s finest.

In addition to all the passenger comforts, it’s compact size and convenient location that clinch the airport’s ‘cosiest’ title. There is only one terminal. Distances are comfortably short. None of the gates is more than a 5-minute walk from the security check. City transfers are also made easy by a short (4 km) distance to central Tallinn as well as a new tram link inaugurated in 2017.
