Estonia’s Flagship Technical University, TalTech, Joins ECB
The Estonian Convention Bureau has just gained a new, high-powered partner in the world of academia: Tallinn University of Technology, also known as TalTech, became ECB member..
TalTech is the country’s leading – in fact only – dedicated technical university. This busy hub of innovation is set out on a compact campus in a scenic area of the capital Tallinn, making it an ideal choice for any conference, particularly those with a cutting-edge technical science or IT focus. In addition to a 700-seat assembly hall and numerous classical auditoriums, the university offers a long list of meeting facilities, including some unusual lab spaces and studios, and a hall with a 270-degree screen.
Organising events here is made easy by the dedicated TalTech Conference Centre, which provides a full rage of support services from website setup to arranging accommodation and transport. As a bonus activity, tech-minded visitors can take a tour of Mektory, TalTech’s innovation and business centre, to see what new ideas are bubbling in the building’s start-up offices, laboratories and hi-tech showrooms. The tour’s add-on workshops cover topics like LED-making, 3D printing and space technology.
TalTech is the second academic institution to join ECB, whose ranks also include the Tallinn University Conference Centre.
