Post tour to Tartu takes place 20.-21.April 2012.
TARTU – city of good Thoughts!
Culture-rich and Hanseatic city of Tartu is the capital of southern Estonia. It is the second largest city in the country and the oldest in the Baltic States which is economically well-developed and has great historical heritage.
Home to the Estonia's top university, as well as a number of other institutes and research centres, Tartu is the nation's education and innovation capital. The city's academic credentials make it a great choce for all types of scientific and medical conferences.
With everything within easy walking distance, Tartu has a distinctively small town feel. Social life centres around the neo-classical Dome Square and the British Park on
Toomemägi Hill.
Tartu University, established in 1632, dominates the historic town centre.
Conveniently, many of its buildings and lecture theatres, both modern and classical, are available for use as
conference venues.
Tartu is one of Estonia´s prime conference destinations, hosting as many as 400 each year. The city and its environs are home to 37 conference and seminar venues with a combined seating capacity of 7,172.
