SailingHave you ever dreamt of sailing in Olympic waters and competing for Olympic medals? Seems a far-fetched and crazy idea... Did you know that the 1980 Summer Olympics yachting competition took place in Tallinn with six different yacht classes participating? We can re-visit that experience with you!
The Olympic yachting event takes place in the Pirita Olympic Sailing Centre, which has preserved its authentic style of 1980s.

After the theoretical part you will be divided into teams and shown to your yachts. Every team member will be assigned to a specific position in the boat, but no, you cannot be the captain, because that place is already taken. All yachts have experienced captains that guide you through the regatta, keep you safe and show how to make the yacht go faster. When everyone is ready, the course is taken to the Bay of Tallinn and the regatta begins.
After the competition you are taken to either the Kalevi Yachting Club or Pirita TOP restaurant for dinner and the best team will receive their prizes- identical copies of 1980 Olympic medals.

GPS-orienteering
Provided by Pulp,
http://www.pulp.ee/
GPS-orienteeringGPS-orienteering is a thrilling adventure game, where not only teamwork skills are put to the test, but individual skills and knowledge about orienteering are also tried out.
The final result depends on each team’s ability to orienteer with the help of a GPS-navigation device, to read the map and to know cardinal points. There are several possibilities for GPS-orienteering:
- Geo-hide-and-seek, i.e., finding hidden checkpoints with the help of GPS devices. The competition can be arranged as an enjoyable entertainment game or an intense race against time. For higher motivation, “treasures”, i.e., prizes can be hidden at every checkpoint.
- Gepsing- solving crosswords with the help of GPS devices. Gepsing can be organized in places with beautiful nature, interesting history or sights and in the city (e.g., the Old Town of Tallinn). During the game teams look for different locations using checkpoints previously entered in the GPS device. If the team finds the requested checkpoint, they must answer a question about that place and will get points for right answers. The winner is the team with the highest score. The game is not timed, but you get bonus points for reaching the checkpoints within the control time.
GPS-orienteering can be arranged by cars and bicycles anywhere in Estonia and also by velotaxis in the Old Town of Tallinn.

In the course of the tour, visitors get the chance to try out drilling, ride a miner train and witness how oil shale mining is done.
When the underground secrets have been discovered, visitors will be taken to see the oil shale strip-mine and the world‘s largest excavator, the dipper of which fits a whole group of people. The adventurous day peaks in an adrenalin filled safari with soviet cross-country vehicles in the demanding terrain of mine hills and candescent ash-mountains.

Treasure Island
Provided by Kaleva Travel, http://www.kalevatravel.ee/
The Treasure Island is an amazing 3-4 hours adventure game which takes place on Estonia’s very own pirate island – Aegna. The island of Aegna is a small one and it is only 12 km (about 30-minute voyage) from the capital Tallinn. Until the 16th century, the island was inhabited by real pirates whose ghosts haunt the treasure-hungry island visitors at nightfall to this very day.
The journey to the treasure chest is thrilling, full of numerous unexpected, unheard-of, even frightening characters. Teams will play coconut-basketball with robbers, cross a swamp led by ghosts and pass a canyon with the help of angels. They have to compete with pirates in building a raft and pass through a maze in the darkness of the night.
It is easy to be distracted from the goal by different charms that the pirate island offers. But teams should not forget their primary goal – to find the treasure chest. And to do it before other pirates.
