The 48th European Folk Dance and Music Festival EUROPEADE will take place on 20. – 24. July 2011 in Tartu, Estonia.
During the EUROPEADE festival, thousands of Europeans will once again be experiencing their own folk culture and making new friends through dance and song.
The Europeade movement was initiated in Antwerp in 1964. During the fifty years that has passed since then folk dance and folk music have become a part of the elitist and the mainstream culture, found their way to concert stages, stadiums, records and into television.
