Civitan International is to organise a conference in Tallinn in July 3 – 6, 2012 as a result of co-operation with Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau.
The executive committee of Civitan International visited Tallinn during a site inspection and were pleasantly surprised of what the city and its surroundings have to offer. Pre-negotiations with the local suppliers are already in force.
Competing cities for the same event were Memphis and Belfast. Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau started the co-operation with Civitan International back in 2010.
Civitan International is an organization of volunteer service clubs around the world, dedicated to helping people in their own communities. Civitans help wherever the need arises - from collecting food for a homeless shelter, to volunteering at their local retirement home, to building a playground for children with disabilities. Civitans have been helping people since the organization’s founding in 1917, by a group of businessmen determined to making a difference in their community.
