Members of The Future Meeting Space project visited Tallinn last week to hear about Estonian digital solutions and innovations. The purpose of the research trip was to learn about how Estonia’s digital tech and ideas could be adapted for the meeting industry.

On the agenda was a visit to the e-Estonia Showroom, where the visitors heard about how the Estonian Digital Society has developed and how to bring interactivity to events.  The project members visited also Tallinn Creative Hub and learned about how robots can be used in events.

The innovation network “Future Meeting Space” was created by the German Convention Bureau and the European Association of Event Centres (EVVC) in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO. It looks into trends, innovations, and societal developments and their possible influence on the meetings industry.
