University of Tartu Museum offers pretigious and stylish facilities for conferences, concerts and receptions. The Museum’s White Hall is a traditional venue for the University’s showcase events. The Museum itself is located in a building, which originally served as a part of the medieval Cathedral and was restored from ruins in the beginning of the 19th century to accommodate the University’ s Library.
The exhibitions of the Museum provide an overview of the history of the University, its scientific achievements and allow visitors to see a wide variety of historical science equipment. From April through October, viewing platforms are open to the public in the twin towers of the former Cathedral.
