Pärnu is now a member of ECB

The Estonian Convention Bureau is proud to announce that the city of Pärnu joined our ranks in early January 2020. The move makes Pärnu the third municipality, after Tallinn and Tartu, to team up with the ECB.

Nicknamed Estonia’s ‘Summer Capital’, the seaside resort city of 40,000 couldn’t be more tourism focused: visitors have been flocking to the sand beach and health spas here since as far back as the 1830s. During recent years Pärnu has also established itself as a player in the international conference sphere, with larger businesses like the Strand Spa & Conference Hotel and the Estonia Resort Hotel & Spa – both ECB members – targeting the meetings market in particular. Incentive providers and other local enterprises have followed suit, ensuring that there’s always plenty to keep groups engaged and entertained.

In addition to high-quality spa hotels and a stress-free ambience, Pärnu offers a convenient location: it sits halfway between Tallinn and Riga and can be reached via coach from either capital’s airports in as little as 2 hours.

The location also makes Pärnu a perfect pick for event organisers who want to avoid the distractions of bigger cities and add relaxing social/networking options to the mix. Popular activities for groups include golfing, bike tours, pool parties, surf classes, rowing competitions and even day trips to nearby Kihnu island.
