Estonian National Museum Hosts Prestigious Congresses Next Year

Probably our most impressive conference venue is the spectacular building of Estonian National Museum located in our second-tier university town Tartu.  The award-winning structure itself is unique in design and scale, built on the edge of Tartu on an abandoned Soviet military airfield, created by Paris-based architecture firm DGT and opened doors 3 years ago, on Oct 1 2016.

This truly unique setting is often used either for conferences, gala dinners or receptions. In total 15 function rooms are available for events, with max capacity 1000 (for receptions). European Museum Conference NEMO 2019 will take place in ERM this November. The VIII World Congress of Finno-Ugric People and the 19th OIDFA – World Lace Congress will be hosted next summer, just to name some biggest events.

The wildest ever event took place this summer, when Metallica ‘s only outdoor show in the Baltics took place at Raadi Airfield, located immediately behind the Estonian National Museum. This fantastic sold-out concert was enjoyed by 60 000 guests, in the city of 100 000 inhabitants.
