Loaded with history and buzzing with activity, Tallinn, Tartu and Pärnu are natural magnets for conferences and events. But for those that want to go beyond what others have done and let delegates truly get a feel for the tranquillity that Estonia offers, there’s no better way than to hold a gathering in one of the country’s less travelled spots. The serene coastal and forest areas of northern Estonia are great choices and are also fantastic for those who want to combine their event with outdoor adventure or nature activities.

Lahemaa National Park(“Land of Bays”), about an hour east of Tallinn, is a beautiful nature area that also happens to be home to several breathtaking manor estates, costal villages that thrived from smuggling and bootlegging. Estonia´s peat bogs are a must-see for nature lovers and the Viru Bog in Lahemaa is among the most accessible. A full 3,5 km of wooden trail provides a great way to experience this unforgettable landscape. Check out our Bog Walking Adventure to make the trip even more memorable!

VIHULA MANOR IN LAHEMAA NATIONAL PARK

A romantic, village-like setting, historical buildings, picture-perfect natural surroundings and rich cultural heritage make this wonderfully-restored Vihula manor complex an unforgettable destination for an event.

In the 19th century, Vihula Manor was one of the largest and most prosperous manors in Estonia. Nowadays, the manor complex comprises two main buildings and 25 restored historic buildings surrounded by 50 hectares of beautiful parks and woods. The period buildings of the manor are the home of 75 luxury rooms and suites, tavern Kaval Antsu Kõrts, café Vesiveski, a modern conference centre and Eco-SPA.

The old-fashioned milieu combines perfectly with modern multifunctional conference and meeting rooms. Unique limestone walls, wooden beams, natural daylight and the latest state-of-the-art presentation technology provide extra inspiration. Guests here can take advantage of the manor’s swimming pool and spa facilities.

In addition, the manor provides numerous opportunities for holding receptions, sporting or artistic events and leisure activities, for example, a thrilling game on the largest minigolf course in the Baltics, a visit to the Vodka Museum and café Vesiveski, the exhibition of unique automobiles, the concert stage and many more. There are also excellent possibilities for pre- and post-conference activities in Vihula – from educational/entertainment programs to real adventures involving nature, culture and history.

In February 2020 the historic 4* Superior Vihula Manor was awarded the distinguished title of the “Historic Hotel of Europe 2020” at the prestigious European Hotel Awards gala, which is a great honour for the local travel trade. See the news Vihula Manor – Best Historic Hotel In Europe
