Lions Europe Forum 2019 Will Bring 1100 Delegates To Tallinn

This October nearly 1100 Lions Club members from around the world are expected to arrive to the Estonian capital for the club’s annual forum. A Lions Club event on this scale has never been held in the country and is unlikely to be repeated any time soon.

The forum is open to all Lions and Leos and their companions, offering a wide range of events with something for everyone. The event will kick off with a Charity warm-up party at the Creative Hub on the evening of Thursday 3 October. The forum itself will start on Friday 4 October. The main programme includes presentations, discussions and meetings, focusing on three main themes, i.e. environmentally friendly circular economy, Healthy Youth – The Foundation of European Society; e-Lion – Lions Club cyber solutions. There will be also first-time attendees workshop and experience-sharing seminars.

Lions joint parade takes participants from main hotels to the Alexela Concert Hall, the location for opening and closing ceremonies and the Estonian-themed Host Night. The magical gala dinner will take place at the Seaplane Harbour, with dancing underneath a submarine.

To meet the Forum`s charitable goals, Lions have decided to finance the training of 12 service dogs for 12 youths diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. These specially trained dogs will be handed over to the young people at the Closing Ceremony on Sunday, October 6th.
